A Family Affair at Medina Tractor Sales

Medina Tractor Sales has been a Medina County family affair since 1930. Brent, Evan and Reed Hollopeter’s grandfather Ray started the business and father Sheldon managed the store in the 1960s and 70s, but the brothers oversee things nowadays. Ray probably never imagined the changes his store would go through in its 69 years. The business is steadily moving into the 21st century. For instance, the store has its own web site and answers e-mail.

However, customers can still find almost anything to fit their lawn care needs at Medina Tractor Sales. The shop sells and services tractors, mowers, backhoes and even chainsaws and string trimmers. The many product lines available include: Husqvarna, Land Pride, Toro, Scag, and New Holland.

In addition, Medina Tractor Sales has an extensive inventory of parts that helps many people find just what they need.

"We pride ourselves on being able to provide excellent service to all our customers,” says Evan, who has been involved in the business since 1976. As a result of Medina Tractor’s excellent service, people have shopped loyally at the store for years.

The current location of Medina Tractor Sales has progressed through time in an interesting fashion. Would you guess that the building, located at 6080 Norwalk Road in Medina, at one time or another held a Fiat dealership, a restaurant and even livestock auctions? Yes, it's true! In fact, if you look at the walls closely enough, you'll probably see painted signs that advertised the livestock auction’s sponsors.

Right now, the store is in the midst of its busiest time of year. The busy period usually runs from April until well into July.

The staff members also take time to answer questions that are sent in by e-mail too. Some of those questions have come from all across the country, mostly by those who are looking for hard-to-find parts.

As always, Medina Tractor Sales offers 90 day same-as-cash financing to qualified buyers. Visit Brent, Evan and Reed during Medina Tractor’s hours of operation. They are: Monday and Thursday 8am - 7pm; Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8am - 5pm; and Saturday 8am - 4pm.
