    What individual or event made the greatest impact? I think my first vivid memory was the assassination of John F. Kennedy and the events that followed -- how our politicians became “human” over the last 30 years. And what Americans expect of their leaders or how much they will tolerate.
    How has Medina County changed? Growth! Even though we still have a lot of farms, we are no longer a “rural” or farming community.
    What invention or advancement made the greatest impact? Computers! From large machines to palm size. Everyone can use them.
    Another advancement is having satellites in space -- zeroing in on our backyards! Big Brother is watching!
    Space . . . . the final frontier. Just think, in 18 years or less you can stay in a hotel on a space station -- all those “sci-fi” movies may come to pass (except Alien, of course -- not user friendly!).
    How has society changed during my lifetime? The world is getting “smaller” as people are more in touch with each other. The bad side is that people want more of everything -- freedom included, and that will create wars or “military actions” (ie. Bosnia) to be dealt with.
