One of the biggest changes in my lifetime has
its genesis in our leadership. In the '80's President Ronald Reagan
had high moral standards and family values that set a great example
for our nation. (He had so much respect for the Oval Office that
he wouldn't even remove his suit coat in that room -- oh how things
have changed!)
In the '90s when Bill Clinton was elected as
President -- I was very disappointed! How could America elect
such a dishonest and immoral man? Just one decade later the disease
of immorality now saturates all media and feeds our upcoming leaders'
minds with filth.
The most impacting changes in Medina County
go beyond our increased traffic, homes, stores and population
explosion. We have witnessed an unprecedented progressive deterioration
in the quality of life we provide for our children. We may provide
bigger houses, nicer cars and an abundance of food, but they are
starving spiritually and have no fear or respect of God.
Our youth hunger and thirst for something to
fill the void that only God can fill. Rebellion, drugs, sexual
relationships and violence fill their plates daily only to leave
their bellies empty and unsatisfied. Until men and women put aside
their own desires and their vain religious practices and seek
God's favor through prayer and obedience to the Bible, we will
ultimately live in a society of corruption and a life saturated
in fear and unhappiness.
